You need a cat

Cats have been part of human lives for thousands of years. Nobody can confirm if this living arrangement was caused by the cat's natural hunting instincts (helping human settlements fight against small rodent's invasions). I'm guessing cat's eyes, beauty and soothing qualities were also part of it. Nowadays people decide to have a cat for quite different reasons.

I've always lived in big cities. World megapolis where millions of citizens share subway tracks, packed sidewalks and crowded stores/restaurants. I love cities, the diversity, buzzling life and anonimity. Having a cat in my apartment is part of my every day. Waking up together and having breakfast, watching TV, doing the laundry, just sitting comfortably reading a book or a magazine with a cat close to me.

You need a cat. You might not know it yet. But you do.

  • If you enjoy beauty. You go to museums, appreciate street art, music, movies, any form of art. You like looking at plants, sunsets or the ocean. You marvel at the flight of a bird or a butterfly. Just look at a cat. Always elegant, reigning from the sofa. A halo of beauty sourounds these amazing creatures.
  • If you need company. Cats have a reputation of being independent. Nasty little things who never get attached. That is so far from the truth. Dedicate some time to know your cat. Make him/her happy. Your cat will know. And you'll know he/she knows.
  • If you like to relax at home. You don't need to be a "boring always stay home person". But if you have a favorite TV show, you like cooking dinner, staying home 3/4 nights per week. Cats love home, cats love routine. Your perfect roommate has amazing eyes and doesn't even need his/her own room.
  • There are thousands of cats looking for a new home. By not getting a kitten you will not suffer through the house training process and kittenhood. An adult cat will be easier to keep. A shy or skittish cat can also be a great pet. You only need patience and time. You can find more information about shy cats in our blog.
