Hello! I'm Patrick. I’ve had many homes throughout my life and especially my time in New York. Pets have been a staple in just about every one of them, cats especially. I’ve been a professional actor and freelance artist for most of my adult life. The flexible schedule that usually comes along with my work has made me sole caretaker for many feline friends of all shapes and sizes, and they’ve kept me great company over the years. I understand that pets are precious to every owner and leaving your pet behind is no easy task. I strive to make your time away from your furry friend as easy and worry free as possible. I will do my very best to make your kitty as happy and comfortable as they can be, all with the love and patience they need and deserve. I’m responsible, punctual, and a great problem solver. I’ll be there for your kitty, when you can’t be! I live in Astoria and am delighted to cat sit here or on the Upper East Side close to 59th and Lexington Avenue subway stop.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

My name is Gretchen and some of my earliest memories include “Prunehead,” our family cat dashing away from me. She was a smart cat and knew to stay away from a curious toddler. I think this instilled a lifelong fascination with cats.

When I was nine, my family adopted two kittens from a shelter, Slick and Yes. Yes was a black and white Manx and was my cat. Because she would chase dogs out of the yard and bounce up a tree in mere seconds, I sometimes called her “The Super Cat.” We moved around growing up and they were my best friends and such a source of comfort.

Although I my landlord will not let me have a cat, I am happy that my boyfriend as a beautiful black cat that I have nicknamed “Babes.” We are also the proud parents of four parakeets.

Currently, I am taking some design classes and am getting ready to launch a services-based company for interior designers, so I do have flexibility in my schedule.

I would love the opportunity to visit your feline family member when you are away. I love to play with cats, groom them or just exchange glances if that is more their speed.

Gretchen was excellent with our cats. She was also flexible with communication, as we were outside of the US and she downloaded whatsapp to talk to us. She sent us pictures everyday, with cute holiday stickers... She was also flexible when friends were visiting and came back in a different time. I have only positive things to say and I trust her 100% to be with my babies! House was clean and pretty at the end of the stay. She also came to our place 1 month before we left to get to know us and the cats - again, as you can see now, she is the best!
