We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Hi, I’m Amanda! I fall in the category of “cat person” among friends, but I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, fish, and chinchillas throughout my life! I lived in Japan for two years and tried to visit as many cat islands as I could – my only regret is that I couldn’t take all the cats back with me! I have two kitties of my own and I can confidently say that they rule my household. I have lived with cats of all ages and am comfortable providing care and administering medicine.

I’m a planner by nature, so I will make sure that we cover all the small details to ensure your cat is taken care of and comfortable while you’re away! I’ve had to travel for extended periods in my life before and completely understand what it feels like to leave your cats in the care of others. You can expect to receive full updates and pictures during visits because I love trying to get that perfect picture of a happy cat!

If you’re looking for a cat sitter in Astoria, Amanda will come to your apartment while you’re away and love your cat like her own. She will create a customized care plan to address your cat’s specific needs during your initial meet-and-greet. If you want someone who is detail-orientated, nurturing, and respectful of your home and pet, please connect with Amanda.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Hello there! My name is Nathalie. I was born and raised in Venezuela, sadly in most of South America there are animals wandering in the streets, always in danger. Looking at them made me realize how much love I have for animals, I would give them food, take care of them, some of them I would foster at my own place if I was allowed and often took them to the vet and look for people who could adopt them. When I came to the US in 2014 to study I had to leave my cat. Thankfully, my brother brought him with him two years later and he's now living with us. Cats and any pet is family to me, I just can't leave behind my family. I was that little girl who had the vet barbie and wanted to be a vet myself because I love animals so much.
Picture
I have two cats at home, one that we flew all the way from back home and another one we adopted here. I like to believe he chose us because one rainy day he decided to hide in our porch and we welcomed him to our home and it has been almost two years now. I'd love to take care of your cat as well as I take care of mine.

If you live in Queens, Nathalie would be glad to help you with your cat. She provides cat sitting services and in home visits. Contact us with more information about the service you need. We'll be glad to help you.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I've been a huge animal lover my entire life. I grew up with cats and dogs, and I was 5 years old when we adopted our first cat, Tommy. He was an energetic, friendly, gorgeous cat who I was bonded with throughout his entire life. Ever since I got to know Tommy, I knew I was going to be a cat person for good! When I moved out to live on my own, I adopted my best friend, "Twentynine": a sweet, talkative 11-year-old tortie with a big personality. She had been returned to the shelter several times throughout her life because she was very shy and fearful of people and would sometimes lash out if she felt scared, and it took me a while to earn her trust. But with some patience and love, she ended up being the sweetest, friendliest animal I've ever known, and her quirks make me love her even more. Making Twentynine feel safe and loved enough to relax and bond with me has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my lifetime. Our home together is warm and safe, and there's never a dull moment!
Picture

My experience with Twentynine, the cats I grew up with, and all the animals I've worked with in the pet care industry, have taught me so much about patience, compassion, and the practical elements of caring for animals. I'm certified in feline and canine CPR and first aid. When I'm not working with animals, I'm finishing my degree remotely at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, or painting pet portraits. I can't wait to meet your cat!

If you live in Queens or Northern Brooklyn, Ry, would be glad to help you with your cat. He provides cat sitting services and in home visits. Contact us with more information about the service you need. We'll be glad to help you.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

When I was about 6, my parents took me to the pet store to get our first cat. I don't really remember who wanted the cat, but I was definitely excited. We got "Princess Spunkerella" that day and I never looked back! I was an only child and it was fun having playmates in the house to occupy my time when I was a kid. A few years later, my school's principal was giving away kittens and, after some begging, we got "Angel"... and then there were 2. Not long after my Dad wanted a few dogs so we now had 2 cats and 2 dogs... and then "Baby" came for my 13th birthday and from then on, we always had 3 cats in the house and 2 dogs... and while I don't have dogs in my little NYC apartment, I still keep the cat count higher than 1. "Rufus" and "Minnie" are my little monster twins (actual litter mates), who couldn't be more different!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

All my life I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for animals, but my true journey with them began in 2008 when I became a veterinary assistant at a hospital in Houston, Texas. One of my daily duties was to clean the cages in the cat room and feed the kitties that were either boarding with us or up for adoption. However there was one particular white and black cat named Abby who had a double heart on her side. One of the technicians rescued her off the streets of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She found her with her litter of kittens hiding under a car. All of the kittens were adopted out and Abby became the hospital cat.  Everyday I would let her out of her cage and pet her, brush her and give her some TLC. She would show her appreciation by making biscuits on me while purring the entire time. Finally one day I asked if I could foster her which of course turned into me adopting her and from there the rest is history.  Abby is now living a lap of luxury with my mother in NJ.

Picture
After moving to NY to further my education, I went on to work in a few different hospitals and clinics where I met countless pet owners and had the opportunity to care for their beloved cat or dog. I have fostered a few kitties along the way and found loving homes for them. I will always treat your kitty like they are my own and I pride myself in being able to think quick on my feet when handling unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Whenever it’s time for me to visit with a furry loved one, I look at our time together as more of a bonding session than just someone there to feed them. All I want to do is make a positive memorable impact on your kitties life so that in return whenever you are away they have me to look forward to.

Amber was recommended by someone in my Bed Stuy-Clinton Hill network, and she has been great. I worked so hard to find someone who would come to our house to clip my cats' nails and you wouldn't believe how hard it was.

It's a silly thing to traumatize the cats for by bringing them to the vet, and yet so few people do house calls anymore. Amber came on time and quickly dispatched of the task.  I don't need a regular cat sitter but if I needed one in a pinch I wouldn't hesitate to call her.“

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Hello! I'm Miranda, a writing student at The New School. I absolutely adore cats! I have two of my own and have always felt a special connection with our feline friends. From volunteering at an animal shelter to hours of personal research on cat behavior, health, and wellness, it's safe to say that I'm a bit cat-crazy! I've cared for my own cats as well as others', and have experience with administering pills/liquid medication, attending to skittish kitties, and being proactive with identifying possible health issues. And my love for cats is reciprocated! Kitties greet me wherever I go, and typically antisocial cats leave their basement abodes for some gentle head scratches. Cats require tailored socialization and interaction, and I have a sixth sense for what they need.

As I mentioned before, I'm a student. Classes are online this year, so my schedule is quite open and flexible, and I will generally not be leaving town. I work hard to maintain my Dean's List placement while devoting time to work, create art, and meditate. I feel quite blessed to have the opportunity to work with your cats, and I can promise you the utmost love, attention, and care. I live by the motto "early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable." I believe in going the extra mile when I commit to something. I look forward to meeting your cats and providing a stress-free service during your time away!

If you live in or around Williamsburg Miranda will be glad to host your beloved cat until you return. They will l send you periodic photo updates during your time away. Contact us and send more details about the service you need. We'll get back to you as soon as possible and help you find the best solution for your cat.

Hi there! My name is Sam, and I’m a 21 year old art student living in East Williamsburg. I’ll be going into my fourth year of illustration studies this fall, but will have plenty of time in between to care for cats when the need arises.

My parents brought a cat home from the local shelter when I was 4 years old. He was a little gray thing with bright eyes and a vibrant personality. I named him Demon (can’t say I remember my 4-year-old reasoning for that) and I have never been without a cat since. Through the years I’ve had the privilege of caring for many cats, each with their own individual quirks and needs. I’ve also cared for dogs, parrots, and fish! I love all animals and am eager to spend time with them, but I’ve maintained a special fondness for cats. I look forward to meeting many more cats through the course of working as a cat sitter, as well as their amazing owners.

My name is Scarlett and I'm a writer, content creator and cat lover. I grew up with cats but as an adult never really considered getting my own until I began volunteering with Brooklyn Animal Action. While volunteering at my first adoption event I met two crooked-tail cats named Ash and Nova. This chance meeting inevitably led to a #fosterfail and the rest is history!

I have experience with cats of all ages and am comfortable giving them medicine, too. As a cat mom I know firsthand how hard it is to leave them at home and how a dedicated, clean, and loving cat sitter can make all the difference. I'm here to be that for you and can't wait to meet your cat!

I’m Murphy, a 27 year old Midtown East resident. I moved to New York after graduating college in Ireland.

I work from home making little bumblebee wish bracelets and selling them to raise awareness for saving the bees! I usually spend my free time volunteering for the Honeybee Conservancy of NY and spend some mornings at a dog daycare, but cats are my absolute favorite.

Having always had cats growing up, I've helped my family foster kittens until they were ready to be adopted and have plenty of experience with neonatal kittens too.

I would love to have some kitty-companionship whenever I’m homesick for Ireland :)

Hi, my name is Katie. I have 2 cats that are brother and sister. I rescued them when they were kittens, 2 baby kittens in a bucket, and they are now 14 years old. They are my babies and I understand the need to have your babies taken care of with love as you would yourself. I am starting to go through the different ailments that senior cats develop. One has asthma and the other has bowel disease and the beginning stages of kidney disease. I've had to change what they eat, how they eat, give them various medications and extra love. I have been a caregiver of cats for most of my life and absolutely love it.

Hi, my name is Zu. I was raised 20 minutes from the capital of Poland, Warsaw, on the verge of a national park. We always had at least 3-5 cats and 3 dogs at home. The whole family would also take care of a colony of stray cats that would live next to our house. As a kid, I would always help feed them, clean up after them, and of course, play with them. Spending time with the colony was my favorite thing to do as a kid.

I moved to NYC almost 8 years ago to work in the fashion industry during which time I also became really passionate about psychology.

I loved cats since I was a little kid and always spend a lot of time around them. Now I have one cat living with me, a ginger girl my friend found in LES as a kitten almost 3 years ago. I also take care of a colony of around 10-15 stray cats on my street. I just feel happy caring about them with my neighbor, John and trying to find them homes. I live in Williamsburg and I enjoy yoga, meditation, pilates, biking along the East River and at McCaren park. I would love to take care of your cat when you are away for a weekend or more extended vacations and holidays.

Hi! My name is Nicole. NYC has been my first ever experience living without an animal in my home, so I've filled that void with cat sitting! Having been a cat mom previously, I can totally relate and understand the level of care you're expecting and hoping for while you're away. Communication, attention to detail, and enthusiasm are at the top of my priority list when spending time with your fur babies. I can appreciate the value in a daily picture or video while you're away, and ease of mind that they're well taken care of.

I am originally from southern California, and came to NYC 4 years ago after graduating from Hofstra University. By day I am a mechanical engineer in the private sector, and by night I am a horror tv/movie/book enthusiast. Every morning and night, she sent me photos and videos of my cat with some text saying exactly what she had done with him and how he was doing. She told me that she really loves cats, which is evident. She bonded with my cat easily and I completely trusted her with him. She was also very flexible and easy to work with.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

My whole life I wanted cats but could never have any due to a parent’s allergies. Fortunately, New York City is full of cat lovers, and growing up in Manhattan, I was able to make cats a part of my life by cat-sitting for friends. I have seen friends’ cats grow from kittenhood to old age. Besides cat sitting for friends, I’ve been a dog walker and volunteered at animal rescue organizations, including a cat cafe where I socialized kittens for adoption. I’ve gotten to know cats with a variety of personalities, abilities, and ages, and am continuing to learn about cat behavior. I respect each cat’s way of communicating, and let them come to me on their terms.

I’m a native New Yorker. I studied film at Hunter College and am pursuing a career in animation.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I’ve always been strongly drawn to animals, especially cats. It all started with me fostering a pregnant cat named Snooks while I was in high school. She was shy and timid at first, but we quickly became close friends and it was such an amazing and eye opening experience to help raise all of her eventual kittens. After I managed to get them all adopted by loving families and Snooks went back to her original owner, I couldn’t help but miss them. But I also couldn’t wait to start again. It soon became a common sight seeing 5-6 cats/kittens scampering around my house.

Ever since then I’ve fallen in love with looking after and taking care of cats.
Picture
I’ve been fostering cats 2011, and I’ve been a cat sitter for independent clients and professional agencies since 2016. I occasionally look after my roommate’s twin kitties as well. I’ve experienced cats with all different types of personalities and quirks, from the super outgoing to the super skittish, so I’m prepared for anything. I have experience with dogs and reptiles too, so don’t feel afraid to ask!

I’m originally from LA and came to NYC for school, and decided to stick around after I graduated. I’m an aspiring graphic designer and illustrator who happens to also have a strong fondness for furry animals! I love caring for cats and making sure they ultimately receive the care and affection that they require to continue living happy and healthy.

In addition to basic food and litter refreshes, Mia administered thyroid medication to our kitty (who is not always the most cooperative). Mia was committed to finding the best approach to administer the meds to ensure our cat received her proper dosing. Mia was also very communicative throughout the week.

Mia did a great job; she responded quickly and sent daily updates, which included what tasks for the cats she did that day, their behavior and several photos. My husband and I never felt so comfortable leaving our cats before but we were confident they were being well taken care of.

Jessica is a cat mama to two very spoiled Devon Rex babies called Molly & Peach.  In fact, Jessica has been surrounded by cats since she was a little girl.  Her grandmother was a 'crazy cat lady' who raised Siamese, Sphinx, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex and American Short-hairs.  If her husband would allow it, Jess would have several more cats but unfortunately city life has limited her to only two.

An avid marathon runner, Jess completed her 15th marathon last fall and can usually be found clocking miles up the Hudson River.  She is a supporter and fundraiser for Tusk Trust, a charity that initiates and funds wildlife conservancy, community development and education projects in Africa.  Over the last three years, she has helped to raise over 50K for Tusk and ran the Safaricom Marathon as their US Ambassador in 2018.  Jess is also a co-founder of 41Wildcard, an online boutique of curated home & jewelry collections inspired by travel.  When not searching the globe for local artisans to partner with, she lives in Tribeca with her husband and two kitty babies.

I love cats and I would love to kitty sit your cat. I grew up around many animals, a german shepherd, two cats, and geckos. I have a deep understanding of all animal’s needs. I've watched my sister’s cat growing since she was a kitten and now she's a big beautiful orange cat with a loving and cuddly personality who loves to show off. All cats have different personalities and need to be catered to differently. It's important to gain a cat's trust and let them come to you.

I grew up here in the city for most of my life, and all my friends have cats that I play with. I’m currently an art student. I love painting and sculpting. I also work at an art supply store.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I have a deep love, respect and commitment to all creatures big and small. I consider myself a passionate animal activist and advocate. I was fortunate to have grown up with a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and rabbits. I blissfully reside with two cats – a male and a female - both of whom were rescues.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Manhattan most of my adult life until I got married seven years ago. I currently reside in Jersey City, NJ though I am typically in Manhattan Monday thru Friday.

I began working in veterinary hospitals in the early 80’s while an undergraduate at NYU. I worked a total of ten years in veterinary hospitals in Manhattan both as head receptionist and eventually, hospital manager.
Over the course of my career in the field, I adopted many abandoned pets many of whom had special needs. I have been pet sitting for over 35 years and can administer insulin, sub-q fluids and oral antibiotics. I will make sure your beloved kitties are well taken care of in your absence ad you will receive daily updates including photos.

I have always been a huge animal lover growing up with all sorts of pets between dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even a duck! I currently now have two cats who I adore. One of my cats has asthma and requires special attention so I know how important it is to trust your animal caregiver to take care of your fur baby. I will make sure your cat(s) has all the special attention and affection they need while you are away and to make sure that you also are updated as frequently as you would like.

I am a resident of Chelsea and have been in the neighborhood for about two years now and moved to NYC almost 4 years ago after moving from Chicago. I also work down in Fidi and look forward to serving the areas in between as well. I am very excited about the opportunity to take care of your pet and look forward to meeting you!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

In 2004, I officially became a "cat person" when my wife (Monique) and I got together.  Along with Monique, two sweet cats named Felix and Milo came into my life.  I remember sitting on Monique's couch early in our dating, and Milo jumped up on my lap.  That one sweet act hooked me!  Felix and Milo were the best of buddies and gave us so much joy for years until they both passed in 2013.  They were the same age.  Within a year, we had adopted two new boys - Hershey and Nugget.  Hershey is a beautiful Bombay black cat, and Nugget is a handsome brown tabby.  At only four years old each, we are treated every day to the energy and entertainment that young cats bring.  Just yesterday, there was a squirrel on our terrace, and Hershey and Nugget were transfixed on the squirrel and talking up a storm, as if the squirrel was hearing every word they said!

My many years of caring for Felix, Milo, Hershey and Nugget have taught me exactly what cats need.  Not only food, water and litter needs, but love, affection and play needs.  I will bring this knowledge and care with great pride to looking after your cat(s).  When not cat-sitting, I am a professional musician (a trombone player) who primarily plays Broadway shows, including Ain't Too Proud, The Cher Show, and King Kong, among others, as well as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  I am also a very avid Mets fan.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I’m a true cat lover. When I grew up, my family always had cats in the house. At one point, we had a male and two females and both had litters at the same time, so for a while there were 12 cats in the house! One of those kittens joined the family and lived to be over 20 years old!

I am a painter, puppet maker, and union film and stage performer. I’m also a licensed NYC tour guide. I worked on boats giving whale watch tours off the coast of New England for five years as the onboard narrator/naturalist. Lately I have been doing film writing, so I am frequently at home. I have lived in the same apartment in the East Village for nearly 40 years. My old cat passed a few years ago, and I began taking care of cats with Kitty in NY. I have a regular cat boarder who stays with me every month, and a few regular cats that I visit. I am caring and responsible, and will enjoy spending time with, and getting to know your cat. After each visit, I always send a text or email with photos and a full report. You can be confident that your cat will get full attention and care!
