We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I have been the owner of 3 cats in my life, one of which lived to a ripe old age, and the other two (Keats and Jinx) live in Florida with my family. As a caregiver I give the affection and attention your cat wants, and will keep close more of any changes in behavior or temperament. My updates will be as detailed as you would like, and I will be sure to let you know the cutest things your cat has done.

Besides being a cat-lover, I am an Actress/Singer pursing my theater dreams. When not auditioning and practicing, I work as a bartender at various Broadway shows. I have both a BFA and MA in Theatre, and I am an avid reader/ Netflix-binger.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Hi there, my name is Bryan and I'm pro-choice, I appreciate Cat people and Dog people alike! I've had many dogs and cats growing up in Westchester so I've always had an interest in caring for animals. I had also worked at a doggy daycare in Brooklyn Heights and loved the interaction between each dog and their owner, but I went home to my (2) Tabby cats at the end of each day.

I currently work for myself as a Marketing Consultant which often means popping into a clients office for a meeting, working in a shared space, or getting things done in the comfort of my Greenpoint apartment. I currently have no pets, I'm centrally located to drive/train from other parts of the city, and I welcome your fuzzy roommate to stay in good company while you're away. Please let me know of any specific requests and I'll be happy to figure something out for you!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

We truly enjoy the company of cats and kittens in our home! And both of us have a lot of experience with cats, having our own furry friends starting from a very young age. While they may keep us entertained, we also love to play with them with all their fun cat toys and give them a lot of attention! And of course, I love to take kitty pictures, so as many updates as you want.

We have a cozy 2 bedroom apartment in which they are free to roam and a big beautiful table with a view for our kitty's to bird watch or just relax in the living room.

I (Liz) am in the Health & Fitness industry and have been for over 11 years, so I really apply a lot of my hospitality skills when taking care of your cat(s) because I  know how important they are to you and your peace of mind. Richard is a semi-retired IT Director so he is home most the time to give lots of love to your cats or kittens.

We look forward to meeting you and having your cat or kitten as a guest in our home!

If you are looking for a temporary home for your cat and would like to meet Elizabeth and Richard please send us more details about your cat and the dates when you'll need the service. My name is Lori and I am a huge cat lover! I currently am in my second year of law school and spend the majority of my time home reviewing in my bedroom. I had cats my whole life growing up and would love to get one of my own in the future. I grew up with a black cat, Lizzie, and a calico, Casey. My family has recently adopted Luna, who I love to spend time with whenever I visit home. I have been taking care of cats my whole childhood.

I live in a small 3 bedroom apartment on E. 93rd Street. My apartment is very simple,  well kept, and clean. Your cat will definitely feel at home in this quiet environment while I keep her/him company until you return. I know that I would love the company while I read as well. I will send pictures as often as you wish and can accommodate any dietary restrictions for your cats. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats.

Jessica misses having a cat of her own. Until then, she's happy to welcome your furry friend and take care of her/him until you return. Her sun filled three bedroom apartment offers plenty of space to lounge and enjoy for your cat/s.

I bring a lot of experience to the position of cat-sitter, having lived and/or worked with cats practically my entire life. I grew up on a farm upstate, where we always had multiple cats running around, though we eventually settled down to a respectable 3, and I loved every one of them! My first job when I moved to the city in 2009 was working at an animal hospital, where we also adopted cats out. The cats were allowed the run of the place, and they all had very distinct personalities. I have dealt with finicky, stand-offish cats, attack-kitties, and scaredy-cats, as well as all levels of loving, sweet, and gentle cats. I naturally adopted one of the cats while I was working there, Tubs, and enjoyed his unending love of snuggles for the past 9 years, until he passed away in the spring. If your cat is struggling with any health issues, my experience also includes giving medication, such as pilling and shots.
I live in a light-filled 3-bedroom apartment with two wonderful female roommates in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. I’m not ready to move on to adopting a new cat of my own, but I love having one or more cats around.  I’m happy to keep you updated on how your cat(s) are doing, with regular pictures and texts and/or calls, and I will be happy to give your kitty all the love and/or space they need while you are away!
If you're looking for a loving temporary home for your cat/s and live in Clinton Hill, Bedford-Stuyvesant or Prospect Heights in Brooklyn we recommend you visit and meet Jessica. Contact us and send more details about your cat/s and the service you need.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats

Hi, my name is Denise. Growing up all my life in NYC, animals have always been a constant. My house was always filled with, cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, fish, and kitties who seem to make a home in our backyard. One of which gave birth to a litter I cared for as well. My very first cat was an orange tabby who was best friend, and we grew up together until I finished college. Since having her I realized how amazing cats can be, she taught me unconditional love and I’ve since passed that along to some new furry friends of my own. I have since rescued all of my cats from the street starting with my big boy Mellow, who passed from cancer, he was my dogcat and loved to play fetch. To my last two babies Cali and Pepper who lived until 15 and 16 years of age, and passed this summer. Not having them around has left a huge void in my life and my heart. I know at this moment I can’t bear to start my journey again with a new friend, but being a cat boarder helps ease that void a bit, and I can give comfort, security and love to your kitties while you’re away and ease any of your concerns

I’ve had three cats at one time and have also cared for kittens and sat for friends and family. I’m capable at giving pill or liquid medication and having worked with many animals throughout my life, I learned early on patience is key. Professionally I work as a production coordinator for Hair Club, which keeps me organized, responsible and constantly having to communicate through emails all day long.  So, keeping up to date with emails, pictures, and texts of your pet will come naturally to me and you’ll never have to wonder how they are doing. I happily invite you to leave your kitty with me and enjoy your time away knowing they are being loved and well taken care of by a fellow cat lover.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I've had cats from the moment I was able to ask for one when I was little, who I promptly named Socks, because of her cute, dainty, little, white dipped feet. Socks was my best friend for 21 years, and over my life I've been lucky to have called Jasmine, Tubba, and Kitty my best friends as well. I've also come to befriend so many other wonderful furry souls since I began petsitting nearly nonstop 3.5 years ago. I have a lovely apartment in the center of Chelsea, where your feline friend will enjoy basking in the sunlit rooms, or sitting next to me while we Netflix and chill.
I'm a former full-time dogwalker, teacher, admissions consultant, turned Household Manager and Petsitter. What does that mean for you and your cat? Most importantly it means that much of the work day, I work from home, so I can spend a lot of time with your baby. Yay! As a Household Manager (I work for a family and help them manage their homes, travels, staff, etc), I am a highly organized person who enjoys a clean aesthetic, so you'll find my home is always plenty clean and safe for your best friend. You'll receive prompt responses that are articulate and full of silly photos of your friend :)
If you need a temporary home for your cat/s Jennifer can provide the perfect environment until you return. Her apartment in Chelsea is full of light and Jennifer works from home so your pet will not spend long periods on her/his own. Contact us and send more details about the service you need. We'll be glad to help you.

Hi, my name is Ashey! I'm a great cat boarder because I've grown up with two cats and recently took care of a litter of 5 kittens when I lived in New Jersey! This means I am familiar with multiple cat personality types and this will come in handy because as we all know - not every cat is the same! I will care for your cat just as if it were my own. Since I moved to the Lincoln Center neighborhood in Manhattan, I have space for a new cat and love caring for one. Professionally, I am an executive assistant and I work from home, so expect your cat to have my full care and attention! I'm very responsible, respectful and look forward to meeting you and your little one!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I've lived in NYC for 6 years--four of those spent with a beautiful black cat named Frida, and two were spent with two additional cats named Zorro and Mochi. Through living with these delightful fur balls, I gained a lot of experience in administering meds (one was diabetic) and learning the subtle purrs of contented kitties. Since my roommate moved away, I'm without a cat of my own, so I'm delighted to open my home to kitties that need a homey place to lodge for a while.
I'm an actor and freelancer in the city, with a passion for art and animals. When not in rehearsals, I often work from home, so can be available for plenty of quality time with your cat.

Bright, friendly, and cheerful, Angie is a very experienced cat lover. She lives in a small comfortable 2 bedroom apartment on W. 172nd street and is accustomed to having a cat in the apartment. Contact us and send more details about your cat/s. We will help you connect with the best caregiver.

Barry lives on his own in a studio located at 666 West End Ave (92nd St) in Manhattan. He loves animals and enjoys taking care of cats.

I'm a writer and editor who lives in a studio on the Upper West Side (90s/West End Ave.). I hail from Massachusetts but have lived in New York City for 30 years. I've boarded cats for several years now, and if you live within a radius of a few blocks and would rather have me visit your apartment to attend to your cat (I did that once), that's fine. I've taken care of several cats over the past few years (I wish I had a photo of Dexter!), and the cat you see accompanying my photo is one of my favorites, Eh-Gee (Korean name/Korean owners). Look at the face!

"Hi! My name is Katelyn and I am a graduate of Kean University, now residing in Hamilton Heights Manhattan! I am a server in Times Square, with a very flexible schedule allowing me to devote plenty of time to your fur baby.  I was 4 years old when I got my first pet, and have loved and cared for animals ever since.  When I moved to the city, I had to leave behind my two adorable kittens (they are full grown cats but will always be kittens to me) because my mom refused to part with the cuddle bugs. Kitty in NY is the best way to fill that void, and I promise I will care for your cat as if they were my own.

Leaving a member of your family can be scary, but your pet will be loved and taken care of as if you never left! "

Hi! I'm a writer and a graduate student at NYU and I live in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. I had my own cat, Max, whom I raised from the age of 4 months and who passed away in January. I've sat professionally and strictly for cats for the past 4 years. I have a deep fondness for kitties and I can say with all honesty, that I can handle anything.

I have lived in New York for  27 years, which is most of my life. Prior to that I lived in Montreal, where I was born. I went to college in New York too, at Columbia. Right now, in addition to cat boarding, I’m a graduate student at NYU Silver School of Social work in training to become a clinical therapist. Meanwhile, I am enjoying the benefits of cat care, giving and receiving lots of love affection, and attention.

It was all around great experience.  We turned to Kitty in NY very last minute as we found out about it last minute. The help game in true rescue manner, fast and efficiently. In less then 24 hours our cat was boarded with amazing Shannon in West Village who took great care of our cat little over 10 days. We needed to extend our cats boarding days, again, very last minute. Shannon was already booked with new client so agency booked us with Pei in China Town. Again we had total peace of mind that our cat was in safe place and with wonderful person. . Now the contruction in our home is finished and our cat is back home after whole month as if she was away on a vacation/adventure and experienced making new friends. I feel very greatful for Kitty in NY. Thank you!!!

"
I’m Randall. After a successful career as an Industrial Engineer I retired young. Today I enjoy time as an avid soccer player and fan. I love all animals and call all cats and dogs Baby! I play with cats as much or as little as they like and they can sleep in my bed, on the couch or wherever they are comfortable. I had many dogs growing up but two wonderful cats who were so soft playful and cuddly that I couldn’t resist them. Cleo I adopted from a neighbors litter of kittens. She showered me with affection and shared my bed. Chloe was a neighborhood stray who adopted me. I happily took her into my home. They loved each other and I loved them. Missing the affection, playfulness and joy they brought, I look forward to sharing my home, a studio apartment, in a luxury high-rise building on 10th Avenue in the West 50’s, with your precious Baby."

Hi, I’m Whitney, a nurse, living with my wonderful boyfriend, Joe. We’re located in a 1-bedroom elevator building in the West 70’s, just steps from Central Park. We are both cat lovers. I was 7 years old when I got Mickey, my first kitty. Mickey was hyper, full of life, and loved to snuggle. I remember falling in love with him from the very first day. My love for furry affection has never wavered and I have since lived with and cared for many furry friends. In college, my roommate and I fostered strays and abused cats, helping them socialize in order to find them a forever home. I appreciate and respect all these little animals, from the mischievous kitten to the shy and timid. I look forward to caring for your cat as if it were my own.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Greetings all - I LOVE KITTIES!

My name is Ann, I’m originally from Nebraska. And for what it’s worth, it is true we midwestern-folk do have a strong work ethic! I currently reside sole in a large apartment in Woodside, New York, where I have a home office. My handsome tuxedo kitty Checkers passed in 2012, and since then I haven’t had pets of my own.  Instead to fulfill my “furry family fix” I care for friends/clients pets! He was quite healthy despite being diabetic, I administered 2 insulin injections daily. Checkers and his brother Hobo were rescues from a handbag factory in Brooklyn – I’m actually in the handbag business.

If you're located in Queens (Astoria, Woodside, Jackson Heights) Ann will provide a perfect temporary home for your furry friend until you're available. I enjoy this company a lot; it allows me to have a pet when it's convenient and the added companionship.  I am a teacher, a babysitter and a nanny. We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

"I recently semi-retired young, working now only 1 day a week, and have plenty of free time on my hands. I live in a spacious, luxury, 2 bedroom high rise apartment on the border of Murray Hill/Gramercy (East 24th St.) Much of my days are spent at home on-line pursing a hobby of dabbling in antiques and collectables.

Growing up I always had and loved cats and now is the purrfect time to receive cats to make my days much brighter. My first cat Samantha (a Persian) was named after the TV show Bewitched. Sam was a kitten when we first got her, and I delighted in watching her grow. And I also witnessed her giving birth to a litter. Our family kept one kitten and the process began again. Two generations of cats for over 25 years. Watching them develop and taking care of them was a rewarding joy."

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I have had pets of all sorts for all of my life and, always, I have had cats. I understand cats; they seem to match my nature. I resonate with their independence and understand and respect their signals.  For the last five years, for the first time in my life, I have not had a cat of my own. I have, however, had plenty of cats in my life, as I have been cat/house sitting my way around the world. This has given me the opportunity to not only have some amazing travel experiences but also to get to know many different cats of various types and personalities. I especially remember Potu, a big white, muscular male who loved to sleep purring on my chest all night with his paw sweetly inserted in my cupped hand. Then there was Glimpsey, a beautiful Egyptian Maus. He was full of mischief and very personable until it was time for his breathing treatment, (He was asthmatic). Then he would hide in places that were very hard to find and required much patience and coaxing. I wish I had know then about the app with the sounds of different cats meowing. Now, I would just play those sounds and I bet he's be out in no time. Then, of course, there was Mr Gibbs, a British Shorthair.  With his big head, and thick coat of hair, he would sit and stare at me with those big round, dark Shorthair eyes.....what a very particular, peculiar and endearing creature he was. It was like spending time with the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

I am a retired psychotherapist. I enjoy caring for people and animal. I find it fills out my heart and brings me joy. Both during my many years as a cat mama and my past five as a cat/house-sitter I have honed my skills in caring for ailing cats.  I have administered breathing treatments, given shots and medications, and dressed wounds among other things.  Additionally, I have dealt with the whole gamut of personalities from the highly anxious to the very needy and everything in between. I am very aware that it may not be only the cat that is feeling a bit anxious about the separation of pet and owner. I always send pictures and little updates so the owners can rest assured that their beloved pet(s) are well cared for.

I love cats and miss having cat energy in my life and I look forward to taking care of yours.  I have a whole wall of windows with a nice wide sill, just the right size for a cat to stretch out and enjoy the warm afternoon sun.  My space is clutter free and there are many soft snuggly kitty spots to be discovered. If a visiting cat wants to snuggle in a chair with me or curl up in my bed for the night I am more than happy to share. Now that I am retired I fill my life with the things I love:  dance, photography, writing, reading and cats.

If you live in Chelsea, Linda is the perfect caregiver for your kitties! She can welcome your cat in her home, where he/she will be the only pet! In-home boarding is recommended for mid/long term services or cats who love human company. She can also visit your cats in your apartment, cat sitting visits are recommended for shorter periods or very shy cats. Contact us and send more details about the service you need.

Linda took good care of my cat. She was very friendly, caring and gentle. When I went to pick up my cat after two weeks of vacation, I could tell that she had developed a bond with Linda. I'll definitely request Linda the next time I go out of town.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I grew up surrounded by cats, and I've had a fondness for them and their little quirky personalities for as long as I can remember. My family kept many of our own as pets and members of our family, but the reason I've met so many different cats in my life is that we also fostered kittens to support the local SPCA in Richmond, VA. We'd welcome a few cats at a time into our home, feed them nice tasty wet food, give them lots of love and attention, and prepare them to be their cutest, most presentable selves in time for the next adoption event, where they'd be picked up by their new lucky families. Of course, it was always a little bittersweet to see them off, but it was such a fun and rewarding way to serve the community and the rescue animal population.

A bit about me... when I'm not at home playing with your cat, I practice and teach yoga -- either privately in a one-on-one setting at my clients' homes, publicly at a few yoga studios around the city, and occasionally throughout the country and world on workshop tours with my wife, who also teaches and specializes in meditation. The two of us would be thrilled to host your cat in our feline-friendly apartment in Bed-Stuy!
Henry will provide a loving and caring environment for your cat/s until you return. He and his wife will pamper your cat and you will receive photo updates every few days. In-home boarding is a good solution for your mid/long term needs. Contact us and send more details about your cat/s and the service you need. We'll get back to you as soon as possible to help you connect with the best in-home boarding or cat sitting service.

My pet sitter was excellent with my 2 cats. He had the added chore of administering medications twice a day and never once complained. He was fantastic!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Nora was one of the caregivers we recommended to provide in-home boarding services around 42nd Street in Manhattan. She worked with us for a year and a half and we were sorry when she moved out. We reconnected on May 2018 when she settled in Jersey City.

I last worked for kitty in NY about 5 years ago, and now interested in doing so again. In my experience the many kitties I cared for were great, it was nice to have the company of their many different personalities. My love for animals is limitless, they bring the best out of me, and in return I love to care and provide nurture to them.

I was born in El Salvador, but came to the US at the age of 7. I am definitely more American, but my roots are deeply embedded in me.

If you live in Jersey City, Hoboken or Union City, Nora will be glad to help you with your cat. Her studio is full of light and it would be good temporary home for a calm kitty. Nora will send you periodic updates during the service. Contact us to tell us more about the service you need.

Great people we have met! - Tabish

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Tabish is a world traveler who has lived abroad and now resides in a charming one bedroom townhouse on the upper west side of Manhattan.

Growing up in Kenya, I was surrounded by wildlife. One of my earliest memories as
a child of 4 or 5 years of age is watching a lion cub, the cutest thing I’d ever seen. I
wanted to take it home, but my dad said I could have a kitten instead that was just as
cute and from the same family. The rest, as they say is my cat history.
I have worked in the humanitarian sector in Europe, Africa, and Asia, using my
fluency in English, Swahili, Punjabi and Urdu.

My other passion had always been for fashion. I studied towards a M.A at Central St Martins, London, which opened up opportunities to work with artisans in Kenya, Gambia and Nepal to create artisanal jewelry and textile collections. It also enhanced my inherent talent for fashion styling. My motto is, Wear Color Every Day.

Tabish provides both services: in-home boarding and cat sitting visits. If you decide to board your cat, your kitty will have plenty of room to roam and play in this book filled and antique furnished home. Tabish works from home, adores cats, and has cared for many. Tabish will enjoy visiting your cat/s in your apartment and will send an update after every visit.  She cherishes their affectionate nature and is looking forward to getting to know your darling!

Tabish has been absolutely fantastic and very accommodating. We’ve had the opportunity to do both sitting and in home boarding and she has been lovely to work with, is a wonderful lady and has so much knowledge and understanding of cats that we felt completely secure about leaving our furry rascals with her. She goes above and beyond to care for them and both cats were very secure when we came back.

Tabish followed instructions and was very attentive and patient with my cats, particularly shy Dusty - he always hides when strangers come, but she would check on him and try to coax him with treats, but leave him alone if he didn't want to be bothered with. By the last two visits, he had come out of hiding, which is very unusual for him, and shows that he was getting comfortable with her.

Tabish was really fantastic with Princeton and sent us many photos of them cuddling. We were also late to deliver him because he was hiding, and she was incredibly patient and flexible.
