Marie was very friendly and professional. I even accidentally locked her out, and she informed me immediately and worked with me to get access to my apartment so that she could take care of Oliver (oops!). I told Marie that she didn't need to scoop the litter daily really, but Marie did because she clearly cared about how Oliver was doing! She sent me very cute videos and clearly took care of my old guy. And she even brought up the dry cleaning the doorman handed her (!! definitely not intended). Couldn't recommend Marie more, she's fantastic :)

When I was four, a stray cat (which my brother was secretly feeding) ran into my house and birthed three kittens. We weren’t a pet family at that time and my parents only had childhood experiences of raising dogs.

We became pet/cat people overnight.

Of that litter, one survived for 20 beautiful years. Chichi and I grew up together. Because of her, I’ve always been able to connect with cats — even ‘tough’ cats or strays. She wasn’t the only cat I raised; we came to own two other cats in her lifetime. The three cats couldn’t be more different, and yet, my relationship with each was special. Eventually, they all passed and I wasn’t sure I’d jump back into owning a cat because I was afraid I’d never find cats as great. I was so wrong.

Erika has been cat-sitting with Kitty in NY for a few years. She is excited to offer in-home boarding for her clients. She grew up with three cats and was the loving cat-mama to Figaro for 8 years. Fig was a special cat; anxious, high-needs with his health, and older when she adopted him. He taught her patience and lots of ways to administer medications. Erika is comfortable administering fluids and taking care of high-needs kitties. She understands how stressful it is to leave your sweet kitty when they have lots going on.

She is a bit of a cat whisperer - loves getting even the shyest/suspicious kitties to engage in play. However, she never forces cats beyond their comfort zone - doesn't mind giving a cat its space if that is what it wants.

Ruxandra is an amazing caregiver. This was my second time working with her. The first time, she fed my cats in my home, the second time, I boarded my cats in her home. There's nothing more special than a bond with a cat, and I truly love meeting each one and discovering how unique their personalities are. I'm a gouache/watercolor artist and often paint animals and pet portraits; I even discovered a lot of old drawings from when I was a kid were of cats! I think it's so important to give your cat space at first and get to know them, I'm a gentle empath and will make sure your cat has the best stay in my home. I'll provide lots of cuddles and playtime - if that's what they like! I'm also a film nerd and love watching old 80's and 90's thrillers, riding my bike around Brooklyn, and recently took up knitting which goes well with my cat girl status. I'd love to get to know your kitty BFF!

I've been boarding cats in my apartment for about three years now and it's been the best, so I'm ready to start doing home visits to meet more cats! :) I'm super communicative, reliable, and will send lots of photos and videos. I always make sure to spend a lot of time with your cat giving them love and attention and lots of play time. I'm also a neat freak and will make sure I leave your space tidy and clean. I think cats are super sensitive and emotional beings and can sense your energy right away so I try to always match their behavior and give them enough space if they need, and I find they usually warm up to me pretty quickly. I can't wait to meet and care for your kitties!

I'm willing to visit Crown Heights, Bed Stuy, Prospect Heights, Ridgewood/Bushwick, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo, Lower Manhattan, The West Village. Basically anywhere on the A/C line is easy for me to get to!

Sidra was an absolute dream of a boarder for my cat Kodak. She sent photo and video updates every day which made me feel so reassured that he was so happy and comfortable with her. When I had to extend the boarding a few weeks, she was more than happy to and so easy to communicate with. Sidra looked after our cat Ripley for 3 months while he was waiting for an export permit to travel overseas. Couldn't have asked for a better carer. She was happy to take his toys and furniture so he felt comfortable, logistics around food and litter were straight forward, and she even took him to the vet for the required check-ups in the lead up to his departure. Regular updates with lots of photos and videos, one very happy relaxed boy! He's now here with us on the other side of the world and settling in like he never left us!

Hi! My name is Louis and I've been taking care of cats since I was a kid. Hi! My name is Celine and I’m currently a student majoring in Neuroscience at Columbia University. I live in a cozy studio in the Financial District with a safe and sunny window sill for cats to sunbathe on!

I spend most of my time studying at home and watching documentaries. I have a light schedule this semester so I have the luxury of chilling at home and playing with a potential kitty! I have had a loving cat myself (black rescue kitty) for 8 years. She lives at my parents’ house and I miss her very much. She’s even been on international flights so I am great at taking care of anxious cats.
