We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

My whole life I wanted cats but could never have any due to a parent’s allergies. Fortunately, New York City is full of cat lovers, and growing up in Manhattan, I was able to make cats a part of my life by cat-sitting for friends. I have seen friends’ cats grow from kittenhood to old age. Besides cat sitting for friends, I’ve been a dog walker and volunteered at animal rescue organizations, including a cat cafe where I socialized kittens for adoption. I’ve gotten to know cats with a variety of personalities, abilities, and ages, and am continuing to learn about cat behavior. I respect each cat’s way of communicating, and let them come to me on their terms.

I’m a native New Yorker. I studied film at Hunter College and am pursuing a career in animation.

Beatrice is caring and meticulous. She always visited the cats and updated me on time. In times of little accidents caused by the cats, Beatrice was able to respond adaptively, efficiently and effectively. She also worked with the notes I left her in mind. I am very satisfied with Beatrice's service.

Beatrice was very nice and clearly a cat lover so I felt very safe leaving my Bean under her care. Her updates were detailed and I could tell that she has experience looking after cats.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I’ve always been strongly drawn to animals, especially cats. It all started with me fostering a pregnant cat named Snooks while I was in high school. She was shy and timid at first, but we quickly became close friends and it was such an amazing and eye opening experience to help raise all of her eventual kittens. After I managed to get them all adopted by loving families and Snooks went back to her original owner, I couldn’t help but miss them. But I also couldn’t wait to start again. It soon became a common sight seeing 5-6 cats/kittens scampering around my house.

Ever since then I’ve fallen in love with looking after and taking care of cats.
Picture
I’ve been fostering cats 2011, and I’ve been a cat sitter for independent clients and professional agencies since 2016. I occasionally look after my roommate’s twin kitties as well. I’ve experienced cats with all different types of personalities and quirks, from the super outgoing to the super skittish, so I’m prepared for anything. I have experience with dogs and reptiles too, so don’t feel afraid to ask!

I’m originally from LA and came to NYC for school, and decided to stick around after I graduated. I’m an aspiring graphic designer and illustrator who happens to also have a strong fondness for furry animals! I love caring for cats and making sure they ultimately receive the care and affection that they require to continue living happy and healthy.

If you live in Queens or the Upper East Side and are looking for in cat sitting services we recommend that you connect with Mia. Contact us and send more details about your cat/s and the service you need.

In addition to basic food and litter refreshes, Mia administered thyroid medication to our kitty (who is not always the most cooperative). Mia was committed to finding the best approach to administer the meds to ensure our cat received her proper dosing. Mia was also very communicative throughout the week.

Mia did a great job; she responded quickly and sent daily updates, which included what tasks for the cats she did that day, their behavior and several photos. My husband and I never felt so comfortable leaving our cats before but we were confident they were being well taken care of.

Jessica is a cat mama to two very spoiled Devon Rex babies called Molly & Peach.  In fact, Jessica has been surrounded by cats since she was a little girl.  Her grandmother was a 'crazy cat lady' who raised Siamese, Sphinx, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex and American Short-hairs.  If her husband would allow it, Jess would have several more cats but unfortunately city life has limited her to only two.

An avid marathon runner, Jess completed her 15th marathon last fall and can usually be found clocking miles up the Hudson River.  She is a supporter and fundraiser for Tusk Trust, a charity that initiates and funds wildlife conservancy, community development and education projects in Africa.  Over the last three years, she has helped to raise over 50K for Tusk and ran the Safaricom Marathon as their US Ambassador in 2018.  Jess is also a co-founder of 41Wildcard, an online boutique of curated home & jewelry collections inspired by travel.  When not searching the globe for local artisans to partner with, she lives in Tribeca with her husband and two kitty babies.

I love cats and I would love to kitty sit your cat. I grew up around many animals, a german shepherd, two cats, and geckos. I have a deep understanding of all animal’s needs. I've watched my sister’s cat growing since she was a kitten and now she's a big beautiful orange cat with a loving and cuddly personality who loves to show off. All cats have different personalities and need to be catered to differently. It's important to gain a cat's trust and let them come to you.

I grew up here in the city for most of my life, and all my friends have cats that I play with. I’m currently an art student. I love painting and sculpting. I also work at an art supply store.

I have 7 years of cat care experience and 3 years of paid pet care experience. With that being said, I have also been around cats my whole life! My family has always had a cat around and I’ve found that they have brought me peace during many hard times. I recently had to leave my cat Furb home with my mother in Oregon after moving to New York and have found that I miss having a cat around, that’s why I was so excited when I discovered Kitty In NYC!

I am currently a barista, and have been working in coffee for about two years now. I love my job because I am able to express myself creatively and make connections with people on a day to day basis. I also am a musician, I am a singer/songwriter and producer. When I am not at work I spend most of my free time working on my music.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I have a deep love, respect and commitment to all creatures big and small. I consider myself a passionate animal activist and advocate. I was fortunate to have grown up with a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and rabbits. I blissfully reside with two cats – a male and a female - both of whom were rescues.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Manhattan most of my adult life until I got married seven years ago. I currently reside in Jersey City, NJ though I am typically in Manhattan Monday thru Friday.

I began working in veterinary hospitals in the early 80’s while an undergraduate at NYU. I worked a total of ten years in veterinary hospitals in Manhattan both as head receptionist and eventually, hospital manager.
Over the course of my career in the field, I adopted many abandoned pets many of whom had special needs. I have been pet sitting for over 35 years and can administer insulin, sub-q fluids and oral antibiotics. I will make sure your beloved kitties are well taken care of in your absence ad you will receive daily updates including photos.

I have always been a huge animal lover growing up with all sorts of pets between dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even a duck! I currently now have two cats who I adore. One of my cats has asthma and requires special attention so I know how important it is to trust your animal caregiver to take care of your fur baby. I will make sure your cat(s) has all the special attention and affection they need while you are away and to make sure that you also are updated as frequently as you would like.

I am a resident of Chelsea and have been in the neighborhood for about two years now and moved to NYC almost 4 years ago after moving from Chicago. I also work down in Fidi and look forward to serving the areas in between as well. I am very excited about the opportunity to take care of your pet and look forward to meeting you!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

In 2004, I officially became a "cat person" when my wife (Monique) and I got together.  Along with Monique, two sweet cats named Felix and Milo came into my life.  I remember sitting on Monique's couch early in our dating, and Milo jumped up on my lap.  That one sweet act hooked me!  Felix and Milo were the best of buddies and gave us so much joy for years until they both passed in 2013.  They were the same age.  Within a year, we had adopted two new boys - Hershey and Nugget.  Hershey is a beautiful Bombay black cat, and Nugget is a handsome brown tabby.  At only four years old each, we are treated every day to the energy and entertainment that young cats bring.  Just yesterday, there was a squirrel on our terrace, and Hershey and Nugget were transfixed on the squirrel and talking up a storm, as if the squirrel was hearing every word they said!

My many years of caring for Felix, Milo, Hershey and Nugget have taught me exactly what cats need.  Not only food, water and litter needs, but love, affection and play needs.  I will bring this knowledge and care with great pride to looking after your cat(s).  When not cat-sitting, I am a professional musician (a trombone player) who primarily plays Broadway shows, including Ain't Too Proud, The Cher Show, and King Kong, among others, as well as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  I am also a very avid Mets fan.

I have always had kitties in my life, I can't remember a time when i didn't. I grew up with a rescue cat named Meeko (still miss him everyday!) and have taken care of friends' cats here and there since I moved to the city. To prepare to have kitties come stay with me through Kitty in NY I've moved all my plants out of the way, hidden all my cords, and picked up some mouse toys.

I am an actress who has many jobs to support myself and my art and cat sitting would be perfect because I'd get to work from home a lot more often and have the company of cuddly kitties!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats.

My first New York experience of sitting was when I baby sat a friend's cat, named Mamie Jean. He traveled a lot for work. This was in the late 1980's. She was a sweet cat.

I have since had three cats of my own in New York. My first kitty started out as a boarder. The person who was to adopt her after a month, could no longer do so. Cinnamon was a scared kitty and over the years I learned how to understand her "particular ways" and just love her, play with her (and know when to leave her alone!) I watched her grow comfortable and happy. I had my baby Cinnamon for eight wonderful years.

My two boys, Sammi and Eli were rescues as well. I received them when they were three months old. They were so happy being in each other's company and they played a lot! One of their favorite games in the beginning was "let's see how many times we can hit Mommy in the head to wake her up so she can play with US!"

I have had thirteen wonderful years with Eli and 17 years with Sammi. I believe that this new chapter in my  "feline life experience" will manifest more adventures with the most interesting of furry ones, cats.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

When I was four, a stray cat (which my brother was secretly feeding) ran into my house and birthed three kittens. We weren’t a pet family at that time and my parents only had childhood experiences of raising dogs.

We became pet/cat people overnight.

Of that litter, one survived for 20 beautiful years. Chichi and I grew up together. Because of her, I’ve always been able to connect with cats — even ‘tough’ cats or strays. She wasn’t the only cat I raised; we came to own two other cats in her lifetime. The three cats couldn’t be more different, and yet, my relationship with each was special. Eventually, they all passed and I wasn’t sure I’d jump back into owning a cat because I was afraid I’d never find cats as great. I was so wrong.

Four years ago I adopted a 6 y.o. tuxedo cat with arthritis. He came from a hoarder home and was extremely skittish with people. I have never had to work so hard to ‘normalize’ a cat, but Figgy and I have made strides. Due to his arthritis, Fig is on a strict diet and is medicated daily. I intimately understand the importance of adhering to diets/medication routines because his comfort depends on it.

I’m very good at meeting cats where they are. Figaro has taught me that some cats really operate at their own pace and can’t always be bribed. I’m comfortable with keeping my distance from a cat who wants that and also giving a kitty all of the loving it demands of me. I work as a graphic designer in FiDi and live in Harlem. Happy to visit with any kitties along the 2/3 line :)

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

3 years ago, on a rainy August evening in Miami, as I was walking up to my apartment, I suddenly encountered the love of my life. Off to the side of the path, there was a little gray and brown striped cat, wet and shivering. I stopped right where I stood, heart in my throat, and she ran right up to me. She weaved between my legs a bit before plopping herself right on my sneakered feet. I squealed (as quietly as I could) with delight: just 2 nights before, I had proclaimed to my roommate that we would be getting a cat. We had already began to rearrange our furniture, effectively baby- (or kitty-)proofing the space; we bought oodles of wet food, a comfy bed, a carrier, and tons of toys. We had no idea that 2 days later, we would be welcoming this small furry ball of energy, who came to be called Tootsie, into our home. I am so glad she did!

My name is Gari and I am a woman of many talents. I am originally from NYC. I'm a Prep for Prep, Sacred Heart ('12), Wesleyan ('16), and AmeriCorps/City Year ('17, '18) alumna. I've lived in Miami (and briefly in Maryland) for the past 2 years. I came back to the Big Apple at the end of 2018 (for those keeping track: since moving back to NYC, Tootsie is currently living with my cousin and I visit her every other weekend). In addition to loving up on and caring for cats, a large portion of my time goes towards building my healing & coaching business, where I work to create spaces for folx to explore & better understand themselves, their feelings, and their purpose. When I'm not doing that, you can catch me cleaning/KonMari-ing people's homes, reading something about consciousness, drawing in my notebook, or working on any one of my numerous passion projects!

She went above and beyond when our upstairs neighbors flooded their apartment and it came down through our kitchen ceiling. We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I come from a cat lover family: my great-grand parents, my grand-parents, my parents had cats. For as far as I can remember, I have heard stories about and lived with cats.  I feel totally comfortable with them. They are beautiful, intelligent and loving animals, I love and respect them deeply: I like the fact that they are close to their true nature. By nature I am a calm and sensitive person and adjust well to the cats' personalities which are so different from one another. A part-time teacher, I am at home a lot, translating or making craft, so I am able to spend time, play and have quality time with the cats, or let them be. Since my last cat Rose died, I don't live with a cat, and I miss the companionship. My apartment is a cosy and cats friendly one bedroom so no worries about scratching furniture or rugs!

Hi from Katyarina and Hailey! We both genuinely have a love for animals of all kinds, and both grew up in homes filled with them. We both have always had cats of our own, and we've missed having them around since we moved to the city, so we are more than excited to share our home with your kitties while you're away and have lots of love to give! We are very familiar with the range of attention that cats want and/or need and recognize that every cat is wildly different, each with an amazingly unique personality from the next, and that is what makes them so special, and we are more than willing to accommodate to their needs!

We are both 20-year-old students at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I study Business Management and Hailey studies Advertising/Marketing, and Communications. We currently share a cozy apartment in the Gramercy Park / East Village area of Manhattan, with lots of natural sunlight pouring in for your kitty's daytime naps! We both work part-time jobs in fashion and retail so we are home more often than not and would have plenty of time to share with your felines!:) We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I have loved animals my whole life and have a special fondness for cats. As a little girl, I fondly remember my sister’s cats Pinky [short for Pinkerton G Fobs] and Pegasus  Pinky had a litter of kittens under my sister’s bed as I watched with fascination. I shall never forget that amazing experience. In my adult years, I have had 2 wonderful cats: a Silver Tabby, named Isis who was with me for 20 years and an Abyssinian, named Ra for 17 years. I’ve been without cats in my home for quite a while now and miss their endearing company. I took care of a wonderful cat, named Mr. Pinkerton for one of Kitty In NY’s clients. It was such a pleasure. You can see a photo of “his Royal Highness”, Mr. Pinkerton, in the photo below. What a coincidence that he happened to have the same name as my sister’s cat! I’m now in a position again where I have the time to open my home to take special care of new, mysterious, feline guests!

I am a former professional dancer and currently work as a New York State licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist. I work within about 25 minutes walking distance from my home and have been living here for 31 years. So, I’m always close by when taking tender loving care of kitties.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!
Hi, I am Svetlana. I am living with my husband Sergei in a 1-bedroom apartment in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.  We are both work from home and have plenty of time to spend with your cats. We are both cat lovers. I grew up in a countryside in a house with multiple cats, dogs, and farm animals like cows, chickens, ducks and enjoyed to take care of them. My greatest memory of childhood when early in the morning all neighbor cats were coming to my house for a fresh milk from our cow. It was funny because with time more and more cats joined the party. It was a happy time and really miss it.

A little bit of myself. Because of my passion for animals I went to college to study Veterinary medicine and became Veterinarian in 1997. After graduation I  worked in a vet clinic for four years and gain professional skills. In 2001 I immigrated to the United States and become a registered nurse and worked in hospital for a few years. At this time I work from home and will be happy to give comfort, security and love to your cats while you’re away.

The cats were well cared for and regular updates were given throughout the trip. Svetlana and her husband were very accommodating for our flights and schedules to arrange the drop-off and pick-up.

Svetlana and her husband were very attentive to our cats and said they really enjoyed having them. They sent pics of the cats throughout the week. They were also very flexible about the pick up and drop off times. They were a very welcoming couple and their apartment was beautiful. I'll be asking for them next time.

I had a wonderful experience with cat sitter/boarder, Svetlana. She was attentive and flexible. I had to find a cat sitter at the very last moment a day before traveling overseas for vacation which is a nerve wracking and she was very accommodating and understanding. What attracted me to her services, was her veterinarian background. Being a new user of these types of services, I was a bit apprehensive about how my cat would be treated but when I was able to witness first hand how Svetlana interacted with my kitty, all those apprehensions faded away. When I picked my kitty up, he seemed more relaxed and friendly than how he normally is. I would gladly recommend her services and will be using her in the future should I need it again! Thank you Svetlana for a wonderful two weeks! Fetty says thanks too!

Magdalena provides cat boarding services in the East Village, NY

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

My childhood was very colorful in that I grew up in a private home with a large
backyard in the Bronx. My mother, trying to recapture her own childhood in Cuba
and Puerto Rico, had hens and roosters living in our backyard, as well as a
monkey and a talking bird in cages in our living room. She eventually sold the
monkey due to much mischief--like always trying to look up my dress (ha ha).
In adulthood, I worked as a certified dog groomer at pet-related businesses for 2
years (k-9 styles and Doggie Do). This led to my running a small pet grooming
business from my East Village apt. I eventually began boarding dogs, and
sometimes cats. I did this for around 7 years while getting a university degree.
Overall, I've had long-term as well as intermittent years of experience with
animals. The passing of my last set of pets-- 3 cats and a German Shepherd--
around 8 years ago saddened me so much that I decided not to have pets for
awhile. But now I'm ready to open my heart and home again to these lovely
creatures, albeit as visiting guests and temporary companions this time around.

Picture
Currently, I teach 25 hours a week at a private school in Manhattan and
transcribe from home. I have also been trying to write a book so, as you can see,
I do spend plenty of time at home. I will be available during the winter and spring
holidays of 2018/19, and any other time in between the holiday seasons. My
apartment is a small one-bedroom and it is minimally furnished-- just the way I
like it. It is safe for cats to play, sleep, and just chill out. I am an affectionate person by nature and the pet(s) I host will be the object of my touch, unless your
cat, whose boundaries I will completely respect, is more standoffish.

If you live in the East Village or the surrounding area, Magdalena will be delighted to look after your cat and send regular kitty updates.
Kitty in NY will help you find the best caregiver for in home boarding or cat sitting services.  Contact us and send more details about your cat and we will be happy to help you.

Hi I’m Tania, I am an animal lover and have 18 years experience caring for my own cats that sadly have passed but who lived long happy lives.  I unashamedly treated them as my own babies.  In the last few months there was medication and a feeding tube that I needed to do for care, so if your kitty needs extra care please know I’m happy to do whatever is needed to make your kitty comfy.

I’m excited to hang out with your kitty and look forward to sending you pics or if I’m lucky selfies of us having out together so you can be relaxed knowing your kitty is being well cared for while your away.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I had my first kittie in college and my second while living in San Francisco. Returning to New York, I lived for years in a building where I could not have any pets. So when I moved to my current location, in Manhattan's East Village, I made up for lost time. That was way, way back in 1992. I contacted an animal rescue agency named BeingKind. (That was the precursor to KittyKind in Petco.) Soon I took in a family of six abandoned cats from BeingKind. I included an old scratched photo, taken before the days of cell phones and similar devices. The momma and poppa cats were about a year and a half old. Teenagers in Love I called them. The four kittens were six weeks old and just learning to walk. They were about the size of my hand (not counting the tails). I eventually adopted out two kitties and kept four felines to myself.

They all lived exceedingly long lives, so I must have been doing something right. The momma cat lived to 18 years of age, the poppa and one daughter both lived to 19, and the final daughter lived very close to 21 (about 20 years and 9 months).

After the family went to Kittie Heaven, I took a break from being a caretaker. That ended in about nine months. One night I went dancing at Barefoot Boogie (highly recommended) and met someone who worked for Kitty in New York. That marked the beginning of the next phase of my love for felines, as I soon became an Official Kitty Caregiver.

I can now offer lots of love, a spacious one bedroom apartment, and decades of experience for my feline friends. I am able to give injections, pills, subcutaneous fluids, and blood glucose monitoring for cats with medical needs.

I am now partly retired but work about 20 hours a week as a psychotherapist. This allows me the luxury to spend lots of time with my four-legged friends. As you might guess, I love to write so I enjoy sending frequent emails or texts plus loads of photos to cat owners. This allows the owners to enjoy their vacations or business trips, knowing that their kitties are happy and doing well.

Phil was a wonderful caregiver to our elderly cat. He was kind and loving and very attentive to our kitty’s very picky demands, and kept us informed about how things were going with funny emails and photos. Any kitty would be lucky to have a stay in Phil’s kitty hotel.

Phil took care of my cat Miumiu who has a chronic illness and requires medication + visits to the vet. He was extraordinary with him and took excellent care of my cat. I suspect my cat wanted to stay longer at Phil’s actually!!! Ahah. Phil has a kind heart and is a loving and humorous kitty caregiver. He sent us regular news via lovely emails + pictures of Miumiu. I really recommend Phil as a caregiver!

Phil was an excellent, reliable cat-caregiver from the beginning to the end of this entire process. The drop-off and pickup went smoothly and during the weeks I was away on vacation, Phil stayed in touch with plenty of great information about how my two cats were doing at his place, as well as pictures. During the course of the time my cats were with him, he encountered some problems with his Verizon service, and I was impressed that he called me by phone right away to let me know so that we could work around it. Phil was able to give one of my cats the medicine he needed as well. Now that they are back home, it seems that they are even more at ease than before visiting with Phil. Highly recommend!

Phil was amazing! I'm so happy to have had him look after Del. It was very obvious he adored kitties, and was so caring and loving to Del. He looked after him incredibly well, was very easy going, and always updating with funny, entertaining stories of his time with him. Phil even went out of his way to help me with the purchase of a pet travel crate, and assembled it while I was gone, so that Del could get used to it before his travels. Phil followed all the instructions and had no trouble at all with adapting to Del's special needs like cleaning his ears and having warmer spaces for him to curl up into (as he's a Sphynx cat and gets chilly). All to say, I would recommend him highly to anyone!

Deli stayed with him for almost 3 months and I got updates on him, with pictures, pretty much every week. Anytime his food would be close to over, we were able to organize so that the website Chewy would deliver more. Deli seemed to love his stay, and reluctantly got into his carrier when we left. I would definitely recommend Phil to care for cats as he is very dedicated, caring, and keeps me updated with anything, plus pictures!

Phil was very responsive to any emails I sent him and was extremely attentive with his updates. He sent photos regularly along with great stories of how the kitties were doing. I got a sense that he truly cares for felines. Just after the first few interactions with him, I was immediately at ease, as I knew my fur babies were in caring hands.

Phil was so thorough with his emails detailing the status of our kitties while we were away. He’d send cute photos with his emails too. He also made sure he had all of the feeding times exactly correct. He was very pleasant and kind to work with and clearly loved taking care of our boys. I would definitely recommend him to others! We would use him again too.

Writer and curator Jeanne G was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and lives in New York. In 2014, Jeanne G founded 186f Kepler, an art space without walls. She has organized numerous international exhibitions and serves as a columnist for May Revue (Paris). Her novel, Vzszhhzz, was published in 2018 by Semiotext(e)/Native Agents - The MIT Press. She’s part of the band Solar Lice.

"I’m writing to highly recommend Jeanne G as a cat caregiver.  She’s been an amazing sitter and boarder for our 15 year old male cat, Stinky.  We met Jeanne early this year through friends of friends after finding out our prior sitter was no longer available.  We were planning for a month long trip to visit Taketo’s family in Japan and needed someone that could manage Stinky’s strict raw food diet.  After meeting her and going over the details of his somewhat involved meal preparation, we were impressed with her attention to detail and the level of interest she showed for all aspects of his care and personality.  We were able to take our trip with no worry about Stinky’s well-being and received regular updates from Jeanne on how he was doing.  He was well cared for while staying at her home, settling quickly into a happy routine with no meal-related or other issues.  I was a little worried that he would show some aggressive behavior that he had in the past, and had warned her about it, but was ecstatic to hear that he not only behaved but was letting her brush him regularly, something he hadn’t tolerated before"

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

I'm Sonia and I am a part time housekeeper in Manhattan, because of my job every day I visit different customers with cats and dogs and I bring my special cleaning products to ensure they are safe. Did you know some cleaning products are potentially dangerous for cats and poisoning by just inhalation!

I grow up on a farm taking care of cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats and more... so I know how to treat these specials creatures. They need a lot of love!

An interesting fact about me is that I'm left handed and I support children in central America with 10% of my income.  I speak many languages - Danish, Spanish, Italian and of course English and will be delighted to look after your kitty!

Sonia took terrific care of my Loki. She sent me pictures and updates and gladly kept him an extra 2 days when I extended my trip. When it was time to pick him up, my cat seemed to not want to leave her! If that’s not a sign of a great cat sitter, I don’t know what is! We love Sonia and her husband!

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. KITTY in NY has selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats.

Since childhood, I have been a kitty lover. I grew up in the country, and my family home was filled with cats. We raised mommy cats and litters and took in strays. I remember watching one of our kitties–Krispy Cat–give birth in our linen closet. I fell in love with the runt of the litter, Parsley, and carried that tiny kitten around so much my mom worried it would never learn to walk.

After college, when I got a home of my own, kitties followed suit. I took in two black kitties, one boy and one girl, and together we shared a home for 14 years. In time, they both seemed to grow tired of city life and migrated to my mom's home in the country, where they morphed into indoor/outdoor cats. They both lived happy, long lives, with my boy cat making it to 19 and a half years of age.

My career is as a home organization coach and lifestyle expert. I live in a Chelsea studio and spend much of my time at home blogging, marketing and supporting my clients. I’m looking forward to having your kitty in my home. There are lots of places to nap and hide, ample space to run and play. And I may have the world's best kitty brush. I've never met a cat who didn't absolutely love it. I look forward to meeting you!
