After moving to NY to further my education, I went on to work in a few different hospitals and clinics where I met countless pet owners and had the opportunity to care for their beloved cat or dog. I have fostered a few kitties along the way and found loving homes for them. Laura was great. She paid a lot of attention to detail and sent us great pictures along with an update on how Nina was doing while we were away!! We really felt great knowing Laura was looking in on our cat.

We would like to introduce you to some of our caregivers. We have selected over the years some outstanding people who have one thing in common: they LOVE cats!

Shannon grew up with dogs, but got two kitties as soon as she was out on her own with her own apartment!  Her first two kitties were with her for a very long time.  Zoe lived to be 11 and her sister, Sadie (20!!!) lives with grandma and grandpa in Wichita, Kansas, where she moved when Shannon moved for school.  Shannon was drawn to Kitty In NY because she missed her cat and thought it would be a great opportunity to have the companionship and fun of a cat.  She misses her Wichita Kansas Kitty very much!  Since starting with Kitty In NY in January of 2014, Shannon has had cats regularly and long term.  She even has a very loyal repeat customer who has come back 4 or 5 times.  Shannon's West Village studio apartment is cat-friendly and has lots of space for kitties to play curl up.  They have their own special eating place and a separate place in the bathroom for the litter box.  If there are needs that a client has, it is very easy to make accommodations.  She also lives alone so it is very easy to maintain the space, safety, and schedule.  All of her feline residents have been comfortable and happy so far.  Because I have such a flexible work schedule and do a lot of work from home, kitties are not left alone for long and have lots of company and attention.  Shannon has experience giving pills as well.

Shannon also provides cat sitting visits to our client's cats in their apartments. Her kitty clients love the daily attention, you will receive an update after each visit. Contact us with more details about the service you need.  

Shannon is an actress and dancer with many things going on in the performance world.  She teaches dance, dance fitness, is an independent graphic designer, and works for the New School for Drama as a visiting artist.  She travelled the world as an Air Force brat before settling in California and then New York.
